The service life of the striker and other parts is increased by designing them to withstand cyclic stresses at high pressures. The replacement cost is greatly reduced, as there is very little wear of the parts.
Advantages Of Using The Rock Tools Hammers
- The life of the body is increased by making it reversible.
- The length of the body is more compared to other hammers.
- The top unit does not contain the milling slots required for holding lock plates and control tube. It is similar to HPR6 top unit where stem sleeve guides the striker and the bit.
- The exhaust tube (Nylon tube) is not required in the bit, hence tremendous time is saved, compared to Bit with Nylon tube - as every time tube gets cut
the hole of drill string has to be pulled out / put in, the stem sleeve guide the
piston & bit.
- The life of the stem wear sleeve is increased as it can be removed and assembled on the other side of the body at regular intervals.
- The rate of drilling is faster.
- As the control tube is directly seated into the body on the top side with long guide length there is no chance for its breakage.
